These fall leaves were made with shaving cream and paint and we wrote poems to go with them.  The poem incorporated a lesson on sounds.  Here is an adorable conversation Mrs. Thompson overheard while the kids were working on the leaves.

Girl:  This smells like men. (Remember we were using shaving cream.)

Boy:  Do  I smell like a man?

Girl:  NO!

Boy:  What do I smell like?

Girl:  (With a wrinkled up nose) You smell like A BOY!

The monsters are a response activity to go with the book The Monster Who Loves Books.

Here is a math game to practice counting on.  The kids had a BLAST playing it!  They didn't want to stop.
